Accomplishments: Amy Lukas was drawn to environmental graphic design by a love of the intersection between mathematics and art. The company she co-founded, Infinite Scale, was created after the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, and now the sports design consultancy company has grown to 35+ team members and has helped put on events for the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, College Football Playoffs, the PAC-12 and other iconic sports brands. “We create experiences that connect people to place,” she says.
Advice to women entering the workforce: “Tap into your courage to have a voice for those challenging times—be willing to ask when you want a raise, be willing to share your ideas, or have a voice when you feel that something is not right. … Don’t get caught up on titles and money. Put forth the effort, the willingness to learn, with a positive attitude, and if you follow your heart—the titles and money will follow.”
Role model: “Michelle Obama. She is not afraid of her own strength. With her approach, her strength takes nothing away from anyone else, because it is given with love, and she is free to be her authentic self.”
